The HPT Model Applied to a Dog Daycare & Boarding Facility

Context: Stakeholders of a small business wished to explore performance improvement opportunities through the application of the Human Performance Technology method by analyzing the organizational environment at the workplace, work, worker, and world commitment levels.
Action: Collaborating with stakeholders and SMEs and utilizing the Human Performance Technology methodology, performed a complete organizational and environmental analysis of a dog daycare and boarding facility to identify areas of opportunity and recommend interventions for overall performance improvement.
Results: Provided the organization with a blueprint for addressing and closing the presenting performance gaps through a combination of interventions in the areas of job analysis/work design, perform support systems, and human resources development, that are feasible, timely, and cost-effective.
